Richard M. Lopez, Managing Partner

Mr. Lopez has been continuously involved in the accounting profession since 1979, either as an owner or a member of senior management. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California.

He began his career with the international public accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. He supervised and managed financial audits of companies from $10 million to in excess of $3 billion. These ventures led him into the fields of Accounting and Taxation, Financial Services, Management Consulting, Banking, Securities Manufacturing and Non-Profits. He spent over eight years in the real estate industry during which he established an internal audit department assisted in the acquisition of a $500 million savings and loan and helped with the formation and public offering of several real estate investment trusts totaling in excess of $500 million.

Mr. Lopez is the Managing Partner of the Pasadena office of Lopez and Company, LLP, a Certified Public Accounting and Business Advisors firm. Mr. Lopez provides select clients with retirement and investment planning services.

Mr. Lopez is currently serving his second term as a Board Member and Treasurer of the nationally recognized Latin Business Association (LBA: website) and during his tenure the LBA has logged several major achievements. And, in addition to his many business interest and active involvement with various organizations, Mr. Lopez is or has been a member of the following organizations:
